Luella's Blog Updates

This is mostly a test to see if MailChimp is working to send blog updates. I guess I hadn't used my MailChimp account enough and it was deleted. So... unfortunately you probably all missed the posts about my 12th annual a cake for a cure, unless you saw it on Facebook.

The exciting thing was I had a goal of $2,000 and we MORE than doubled it. Please check out the previous blog posts to find out more!

It's Dravet Syndrome Awareness Day

and that means it's the end of our fundraiser!

AND YOU HELPED US MORE THAN

DOUBLED OUR GOAL!!!!!

In the past 12 YEARS you have helped us send OVER $29,000 to the Dravet Syndrome Foundation to find a CURE!!! Luella and so many like her are waiting! Thank you for all the support!!

About Me

My name is Heather and I am mom to Luella and three other children - Burke, Ashlyn and Ryker. Luella is our youngest and in August of 2010, when Luella was only 9 1/2 months old she had her first seizure. We were told it was probably just due to the UTI they discovered and she may or may not have another seizure. She did have another and went on to have almost 50 in the next year. Through constant doctoring we found out in July 2011 that Luella has Dravet Syndrome. This was hard news for us to hear. We are praying for the best possible outcome for Luella and we ask for your prayers as well.
